Lens on ebucks - wide angle choice?

24mm on a crop sensor is too wide for my taste.
weren't you suggesting the 15-85, which would actually be wider than the 24-105 on a crop sensor?

So in short, the focal length is the more important variable for me when choosing a everyday lens, with the wide side more important than the long side.

Thanks for the reply, much appreciated.

Why would anyone want a Canon EF 100-400mm f/4.5-5.6 L IS USM if they have the 70-200 F2.8?
Surely an addition of the 2x TC III would suffice - giving a 140-400mm F5.6 thoughout the range?

This is a good read.

:o:o:o

I meant too long. Just testing you... :D
Did I pass? :D

I think my wide angle lens is the least used of all my lenses. My old kit lens probably sees more use! :o

Urgh.

I placed my order for the 28mm F2.8 on the 23 April - and they cancelled it yesterday due to no stock. I phoned them and they're can do that with anything - and there is no way of checking stock before, other than placing and waiting to see if they cancel it in a week. Stupid system :/

*sigh*

So no back order system? You paid right? Why aren't you going for the f/1.8?

They only had those 3 lens choices which indicated 'stock' and a price through Kalahari. The 1.8 wasn't listed through Kalahari - but I would've chosen that.

I paid with my ebucks which they credit me within 72 hours - but then I have to place an order for another, which may be rejected as well.

EDIT : Makro has next to nothing as well - so I need to check the used in ODP and try make the same deal we made

UPDATE :

Kalahari phoned me on Thursday to say they had stock and rather getting happy, I decided to wait until I had it in my hands. Today I received my 28mm F2.8 :)

I received it about 10 minutes before posting ;)

I'm staring at the box. Feels quite study actually ... got a metal ring as opposed the plastic!
