Lesufi's number plate lie

Gauteng Premier Panyaza Lesufi's claim that cars spending over 30 days a month in the province need to have GP number plates is false.

The Gauteng Provincial Government launched a six-month pilot of the "smart" number plates last week, over two and half years after Lesufi first touted the government's plan for new number plates.

The first thing I though was to get a post box in another province and register there. Once they suceed with a cash grab the next attempt is certainly in the pipeline.

From what I understand, they also want you to renew the damn thing every 5 years.

Definitely a money grab disguised as 'security' then, unfortunately most of the things the government does now day to make us safer is in reality either a money grab or an assault on our human rights.

With all the transport ills in SA these clowns want to focus on number plates! Like W.T.F. Sort out the damn pot holes, robots, unroadworthy vehicles and corruption at licensing centres first then focus on other stuff.
