Tons of dead zones around the country.

Vodacom should actually pay a finders fee if people spot a dead zone with auditors verifying the claim.

Should come over to my place where a Vodacom signal is non-existent...

Melkbos. Duynefontein to be specific.

This. Van Riebeeckstrand in Melkbos has notoriously **** coverage.

Maybe 99.8% of the country is covered, but Vodacom doesn't say that about 60% of that is barely functional.

Where in the video does it say it covers 99,8% of the country?
I think there was\is another version of the ad where it states 99,8% population coverage.
Yep, that version airs on Supersport channels - cannot find it online - and it makes no mention of "population coverage", not even in the fine print...

Do you have another source where they make this 99.8% claim?

I have not looked nor will I... I know what I saw on the advert. I am also very aware of what should have been in the fine print, i.e. population coverage not geographic coverage, but it was not there.

The theme of the advert is also that no matter where Errol goes, he is covered by Vodacom.

yes but Errol is in the Western Cape they don't have mine shafts or overloaded urban areas in the Western Cape ... ;)

I doubt Vodacom gets to 99.8% of the population as being covered at any point in time. 99.8% of the population will over the course of 24 hours be able to obtain coverage but the number of people who have dead spots in their house
