Let's play UT 2004 / UT3

UT has always been my favourite tournament style FPS. I look forward to playing as well!

Anyone keen on playing tonight ? I'll host if the weather holds up. A little bit of UT99 ? What does the majority have, seems like UT99 ? If anyone requires UT99, send me a pm. :)
 
UT99 = the first Unreal Tournament right?

I have Unreal Anthology (Unreal, UT GOTY, UT2004) and a original UT3, so I will play all 3; but I prefer UT2004. UT3 has become a bit meh tbh, they changed stuff which was awesome about the franchise.

But, I need details... everyone says play play... what do I need to install.

Patches / mods / server IPs for the games?

Edit : StoneCold you should just change your IRC server, tried to connect to shadowfire.org... no connection, then tried za.shadowfire.org to connect to #NH-NFSU.

Thanks for the correction on the IRC info.

Patches = All the latest patches for all the games. I host servers for UT and UT3, last week Friday we did UT (aka UT99) patched to v455 (I did link the patch on one of the previous pages), UT3 version 2.1 (UT3 Black Edition) I only have patch v5 applied for UT3 without the Titan Pack (although I just need to install the Titan Pack).

If the weather holds up on my side, I'll start hosting a UT99 server from 8pm/9pm, but I'll make a post here when I start hosting. If I don't mention anything then I've got some heavy weather. But let's make use of that IRC channel guys, then we can organize games much easier.

PS: For UT2K4, Mweb still has the one server online, so if we need to play UT2K4 we can use that :)

PS2: I use Mibbit to connect to that IRC channel, www.mibbit.com

Set your nickiname in the provided box and then channel: #NH-NFSU

And you're good to go :)

Thanks StoneCold, I will start downloading the patches when I get home, if Im finished I will install and join. I did plan to try to finish the Underworld in Guild Wars tonight, so if Im not online, its either not finished updating or Im still in GW. I created a seperate channel #UTZA on za.shadowfire.org as well. NFS-cantremember the rest lol.
 
Weather appears to have cleared up on my side, so it's all systems go :D

EDIT: UT99 server online: "StoneCold's MyBroadband.co.za Server" , mode : Team Deathmatch, we can vote to change for it with the ProVote mutator :)

Last night i got caught up in some stuffz, if anyone is interested then please join above irc channels and we can organise a game. I did however play on an international server with a sub 200 ping and it was pretty fun, granted first 1hr i was so noob i thought a giant wavy flag was the team flag :D, by the 2nd hour i was getting some positive comments :). Still though am getting sub 200 ping even for local mweb server using an iS account from Afrihost :/ (just normal account).

Anywhoo, vehicle CTF ftw!
 
Has anyone ever played the UT2K mod called Carball? It's basically like soccer but all players are in that light car (the Scorpion, I think). It was a fantastic LAN game.
 
Finally got hold of ut2004, what is the patch version I need to be on?
