Let's talk Cologne

Does anyone know of something that works well ( Good Smell & Lasts long on the fabric it's applied onto ? )

Not too pricy too as well maybe ? But if it has to be then fine it can't be helped ??

Yes ?

Not going to work asking other people. Perfume smells different on different people.

I once "borrowed" my bro's expensive awesome smelling fragrance when he was away. It smelt like cat piss on me :(

hahah maybe he tricked you :D

Its true though, not everything suits everyone. And everyone has a different idea of 'not too pricey'. My limit for everyday smellies is around R250 for a 50ml which most people would probably laugh at... :D

Btw, chanel no.5 is proof that expensive does not equal nice

Everyday/Work - Chanel Allure or Bleu de Chanel; Paco by Paco Robanne (the original in the Silver canister - now sells for 20 USD on most international flights, mad value); a collection of Bvlgari EDT's.

Weekend (Day) - Snoop Dogg style aka Cool Waters by Davidoff :) So fresh and so clean, and also around 20 USD for a 100ml EDT of most international flights.

Weekend (Night) - Chrome by Azzaro; Bleu de Chanel; Dolce & Gabanna by Dolce & Gabanna; 212 for Men by Carolina Herrera

Diesel Fuel For Life and YSL La Nuit.
I once had an old housemate threaten "Who smells so good!?" when I had just used my La Nuit, she was crazy. :p

Yeah okay ?

I am asking for opinions on what they think is nice that also stays on for years on end. I was going to take it upon myself to find out if I like how it smells before going with whichever choice I was given.

Your not supposed to apply cologne on fabrics.

I guess, but does it make a difference ???

Contrary to their insanely amazing ads, I've heard old spice makes you smell really awful :erm:

The newer Old Spice range is awful. I still stick with the classic Cologne.

I have noticed however that the scent has subtly changed over the years. It just doesn't smell like it used to 20 years ago.

Yes ?

Boss bottled & Fahrenheit last all day.

My daily is two pumps of Opium Pour Homme on lower neck and upper chest for smellies, with an odourless anti-perspirant under the arms. Delicious. It's there all day, and through the night.

I thought it would be good idea to start a thread on Cologne.

I'm currently using Georgio Armani Aqua dio Gio. Is it possible to get a generic version of this? Any advice on deciding what to buy and where to buy?

Georgio Armani Aqua dio Gio is by far my favourite cologne. It's a classic scent and lasts long. I get it at Duty Free for cheap when I travel or ask my friends to buy it when they travel. It's my evening cologne. My daily varies, currently I have Bvlgari AQVA, D&G Light Blue and Hugo Boss.

My favourites

Jean Paul Gaultier Le Male
Van Cleef and Arpels Midnight in Paris
