An urgent opportunity has arisen for a level 1 Junior Desktop Engineer to join our well established company.
The candidate will be providing 1st level support to a corporate 5 days a week.



Matric Certificate and tertiary education
2-3 years experience in desktop and printer support in a corporate environment.
Basic knowledge of networking protocols
Be presentable
Must be willing to work alone and in a team environment.
Attention to detail essential.
Must be punctual.
Male or Female

Not necessary but beneficial:

Basic support of Windows Servers.
Basic Support of networking equipment.
Knowledge of Windows Deployment Services an advantage.
Basic Knowledge of Cisco equipment beneficial.

Starting Salary: R 6,000 up to R 7,000 depending on experience.

This position offers an excellent work environment to the young and energetic candidate who is willing to learn and further himself/herself in the IT field. Hands on training will be provided.

That's the thing, looking for a young person, that is willing to learn and better himself / herself while getting paid - not much i know, but it's a start

it's a Junior position, with room to grow both experience wise and salary wise

If you're an "old" 27+ you're screwed. Pretty sure this type of advert is illegal.

If it's illegal then by all means report it, nobody is stopping you, If on the other hand you want to apply, then go right ahead

Reported to the CCMA. Even if I wanted to apply, I'm apparently too old.

So you just want hot young employees?

I'm starting to think this is casting couch or fake interview.
