Level 7 Wireless: Got so close only to be extremely dissapointed

Signed up for 20Mbps Premium Wireless, Technician came and got clear line of sight to the only tower that has line of sight from my house. Few minutes later he tells me there is no more space on the tower for me to be connected and there is nothing they can do at the moment as there are no other towers available.. After signing a contract and waiting a full week for installation. Beautiful!
 
Had similar in January.
Was going to pay cash for the equipment and just get the install done.

No towers close enough :( or too much interference due to topography).

There are over 15 towers in my small area, but the only one I can connect to.. is full... :mad:

Hi ILoveGames

Unfortunately, we have to make these tough calls sometimes. We would rather keep the quality of everyones service high then sell a substandard link only for you to be dissapointed with the package that you signed up for.

The only line of site you have is to a tower that is full and its not possible for us to add anymore capacity on the towerhere.

Im sorry that we couldnt assist.

What's your gameplan for when telkom cuts off large quantities by the day? Most people will never even think of getting LTE, and fibre will still be at a slow growth rate and not covering the areas getting shut down. So where do they go? They all rush to Level 7, because Wirulink has too many problems and all the other places are sketchy.

When the day comes where you don't require to sign the contract just to test LOS and feasibility is when I will put up my name for another test to see if there's an open spot.

R2499 per month is a lot of money for a 20Mbps line :oops: . Surprising that level-7 can let business like that go somewhere else. You guys must be doing good.

Rain 5G Not available yet. Gonna let the ADSL run till it's forced to shut down. And then see what's my options. I am really exhausted about this one's ooh and that one's ahhh I am now really considering FTTB to my home. Vox can give me 20mbps for R2800. Waiting time is 4-7 Months for the Fibre but they give you an LTE modem running at 20Mbps unlimited till your FTTB is installed. Funny thing is Level 7 told me there is no FTTB coverage on DFA for my WHOLE neighborhood. Mailed Vox Telecom and got a go-for-it within minutes, All I need to do is say yes and he gives me the contract. I cannot believe I am on the spot of having to get FTTB as an alternative to ADSL, because no one else can deliver.

It's the right choice to made by an honest provider. If they were just after your money, they would have just carried on with the install and give you and all other customers less than what they signed up for.

The guys working there are great, one in particular, great company over all. Its just the network is not there yet.

We value all business, but had to make a call on a full tower. We are working on adding some capacity in that area but dont have any current solutions.
