Having loads of fun leveling a worgan druid. Ive gone feral (have a mage and resto shaman so over spell casting).

Druids are so op :D

Tanking with a druid though seems to be hard work. I have to kinda hit all the mobs one at a time to hold aggro as I have very very limited AOE ability at the moment.

Playing bg`s with my druid, specifically WSG is totally imba. There have being some changes to our battlegroup and all of a sudden we are winning 4/5 battlegrounds. In the past we used to win 1/10.

Anyone got suggestions for good feral macros?

I have duel talents, my primary is my tanking bear, and my secondary is my pvp kitty.

I'm glad :) I'm an druid of the old code myself.

Feral is very very op atm (now and for a while in the prev season been the only times they've been really good in pvp). @ 85% pvp everyone wants a feral druid to faceroll to free rating. Its basically Feral + Anything :)

I have not played feral seriously in quite a while, so don't know macro's of the top of my head atm, but I'm sure u can still find some @ http://www.arenajunkies.com/macros/druid/
Don't know if they have been updated for Cata

GL & HF

I'm also leveling a Feral druid atm. Got to 70 today. I've found that at high levels there are too many abilities for your keys. Another thing to note for Feral macros is that you have to include Cat/Bear form in the commands.

I've made two macros for changing my attacks depending on whether I'm stealthed or not. Rake changes to Pounce and Shred changed to Ravage.
/cast [nostealth] Rake(Cat Form); [stealth] Pounce(Cat Form);
/cast [nostealth] Shred(Cat Form); [stealth] Ravage(Cat Form);

I've also added a modifier, to change the attacks when I press Shift. I put all my finishers on modifiers.

/cast [nomod] Mangle(Cat Form); [mod:shift] Rip(Cat Form);

For bear form I've also started doing the same. You can also put macro Maul with every attack. It's not a on next attack ability anymore, but an instant attack that's not on the GCD.

Nice one Wiz,

My druid's now become my main. She's at 83 and doing just nicely. AoE tanking has always been a pain, so try and get yourself easymark or rapidmark or some such to skull your target for dps to try and stick to. At lvl 36 you get swipe which will do AoE dmg, but only every 6 seconds, so I suggest you build aggro on skull, then tab through the rest of your mobs to build and sustain aggro.

I'm busy leveling a resto Druid with voicy ATM. It's quite tricky getting kills at low level with that spec but you can heal more than anything can damage!

oH. I also wanted to go resto druid with two friends who are going rogue and druid(feral). But once my friend told me he wants to play druid i decided to just play priest. \:D/
So we are gona have a 3 man death squad cruising through the content :). Quest leveling should be fast and instance groups should be easy to get. I just dont know what method i want to use. I guess a mix of quests while dungeoning will be fine but i dont wana waste time in dungeons due to not being experianced with that method of leveling. 70-80 AV is good i heard. And i know most dungeons from tbc so that should be fine. But im still not too sure what we 3 should be doing from 1-60. We will be playing worgen priest(holy), rogue and feraldruid. I also dont know if i should just go shadow for the leveling or holy? Holy would mean less down time for the group and show will be faster kills. So with a druid tanking and a rogue on dps should i rather heal or dps aswell? The way i figgure it is that we could nuke things in a few seconds but then we have to eat for hp or mana or we could kill things a little slower but have less downtime eating. some advice or help would be nice for you guys since you are more experienced than me.

Well, it depends on what you are going to do from 1-60. If you are going to level via questing, Shadow would be you're best bet. Feral Druid will have no downtime. After some fights a quick Healing Touch and they are ready to go again. I haven't leveled a rogue, but I'm guessing that after a couple of mobs you will need to eat to recover health. For Shadow Priest, you probably will have some downtime for mana until you hit 32, at which point you get Shadow Word: Death. Add a Glyph of Spirit Tap and you won't have any mana downtime unless you mess something up. I would say let the Druid heal both you and the Rogue between fights when needed, and have you keep your mana for damage. By the time the next round of heals are needed, he should be full mana again. But in bad pulls or fighting elites, you will have to heal.

If you go via dungeons, then go Holy or Discipline and then queue as Healer. If your Druid goes for Feral Tank, you will have short, if not instant, LFD queues. You can heal as Shadow, but it's not as good. I had an run through Maraudon where the healer dropped and I picked up the healing. But I think that after 40, it becomes more difficult to do roles that you aren't specced for.

It's only an issue before level 30. Once you hit 30, you get dual spec and you can have separate specs for questing and dungeons.

Ugh guess il try get gold for dual spec but if i dont get enough gold il just quest level as shadow.

You find it too hard to attain 10g @ lvl30 for dualspec? :p

Crazy how it went from lvl 60 dualspec @ 1000g to lvl40 @ 100g to lvl30 @ 10g.

lol i wasnt aware that its only 10g now. Great success il shadow from 1-30 and then disc my priest for dungeons :)
Pretty excited about lvl 30 dual spec geez!

To be honest, with the current leveling speed, you could reach 30 in 4 days or less with just questing and not pushing it.

My worgen druid is now at 73 and I started her on Cataclysm release day. I also have a mage at 60 which I started when the Shattering patch was released.

In both cases what slowed me down is leveling professions as well. Moreso with my mage, because I was leveling tailoring and enchanting.

I see. I think il just go all out when leveling and im gona do it proper. Gona do proffs while i level. My 2 friends will also do proffs. Im going to do alch/herb on my priest while my rogue friend will do skinning and leatherworking and my druid friend will do mining/jc or whatever. I figgured that could be the best way and will be beneficial for all 3 of us. Might make leveling a little bit slower but we wont be poor once we hit 85 and then we dont have to run through low level areas to level proffs at 85.

i have been leveling with my gf, and fastest way to level so far has been dungeons. If you have a healer, dungeon groups will be extremely easy to find. we reached level 40 in like a week.
