Is one at R1,699 good value. Or R1,499. Can't remember what I was quoted.

Best to get the reviews for it.

There are many class 10s, mine can read and write up to 14M/s, some only at 10 - 11, some up to 24, but they're all rated class10.

Another difference is how unlikely the data will corrupt.

A Lexar is a pretty good brand, not saying kingston isnt but not all class10s are the same ;)

I've also been shopping around for one and came accross this yesterday.

R454 seems really cheap so I don't quite know what to make of it..I might take a chance on it anyway. If the speed is not up to scratch then I can always use it elsewhere.

Thats a SD card, which does come a lot cheaper...

Though I have brought so many bogus sd/microsds before...some only copies the first 2gig, another just get corrupts everywhere then stops working...

My advise... use S.A comparesion websites like Oneshop.co.za. They list ALOT of products and list the best (cheapest) products for you to choose. prophecy, Have2have, Take2 and many more is on their. Believe me guys i find the best deals on these site without driving to PC stores and looking around. Give it a try and see what i mean
