I have an Lexmark X2650 and the ink was finish. I tried to refill it and it didn't work..
I found that a new 14 ink cartiridge cost R315. I bought the printer for R299.:(

Therefore I ask the Office supplies that why did the Ink cartridge not work. He said that you finished the ink and the cartridge locked. Therefore I bought another one at R299:D

The ink is now on level 1/10 because I locked it..
The colour 9/10 and previous colour cartridge is 3/10
I look for generatic cartridge everywhere but at no vail.

1 - If I refill it this time will it work? (its a Return program cartridge)
2 - Where can I fine generatic cartridge of 14?
3 - Is there a way to open the Cartridge?
4 - If no way>, what printer can I buy that supports refill at R30-60 and cost
Below R600

Please provide estimate price per page

Thanks in advance
- This is my master post and Thread >500<:D (please don't congrat me in this thread beside if the above is correctly answered)

sorry man, we have a canon something or other printer too and used to refill it years ago but its never the same. when my wife needs a new cartridge we shop around for the cheapest one which is normally around R250 - R280 i think.

generatic cartridge work great but since there no lexmark 14 ......

generatic cartridges cost about R80-100

Lexmark x3250 was on market and got sold within a week, because the ink cartridge could be refill and the electrode was powerfull to support any ink...

Missed that chance... I took it and left saying I'll first finish my shopping but when I came back it was all sold. > Last June 2008 at games

Don't try open the cartridge you have. I take my empty cartridges to the Cartridge World. They do refills for nearly every brand, and they're generally half price when compared to the original cartridges.

2 - Do they sell generatic cartridge for lexmark 14??
