It is not the EX unfortunately that is about R489k. I have a GPS anyway.Thats not a bad price, but if its not the EX model, it wont have the Satnav and some extra's fitted to it.
I agree, went in the GS350 the other day, oh my god, its amazing and puts anything else to shame.Still a brilliant car, but you have to keep in mind there is a new shape IS incoming next year. Lexus have a very slow release period on new shape vehicles (considering the current IS has been out since 2006), and the new shape would mean current model prices plummeting. I was very interresting in purchasing the new GS model just released, but after hearing that the F-sport models are only available on the GS450 range, I was totally dissapointed. I am going to hang on to my Lexus IS250 for the time being and maybe replace it once the new shape hits South Africa in the coming year.
Well I see they are listed at around R389 000 was offered one at R315 000
Go and drive that Toyota and you will see what you are paying for. Lexus as a brand makes BMW (which I have owned many of) stupid.Still expensive for a Toyota.

Yup... service levels from Lexus are nothing short on amazing. The motorplan even covers the battery in your key.
Every time my car was in for a service, I was given another Lexus vehicle as a loaner.
Once they even collected and dropped off my car for me at work... did'nt even have to step out of the office.
Seriously, they entered the luxury market very late in South Africa and they had some fierce competition against BMW / Mercedes / Audi... I cant see myself buying another brand, unless the competition comes up with something really spectacular, but I am way too much of a japanese manufacturer fanboy when it comes to reliability. And sadly there is not a lot of Japanese vehicle manufacturers that compete in this segment of the car market.
The accord is a brilliant car as well... I had one before my current Lexus.
When it came to replacing my Accord, I did'nt like the current shape, hence I settled on the Lexus.
I still think Honda's primary focus is in the budget car segment with the majority of their cars competing with the likes of Toyota corolla's / Toyota Fortuner , VW - Polo / Pasat / GTi, Nissan, Ford / Mazda. Their Accord is their flagship vehicle, and that competes with the likes of the entry level Lexus... which is the IS range.
