Hey guys, I understand there are threads where people have shared their realm choices e.g. http://mybroadband.co.za/vb/showthread.php?t=47034 but these things change and some of those replies I'm sure are outdated so I decided to start a seperate thread

Myself and a friend are starting WoW again and afresh this time on Alliance and we're looking for a nice realm that is high pop and has plenty of activity so that finding groups while leveling up won't be too hard. We're also very interested in pvp and world pvp so if there is a bit of that on the realm then that would be even better, and ofc if there are more Hordelings than Alliance that's fine because it means plenty more fights to get into :p

So if you could share your experiences/knowledge of realms esp. on Alliance side that would be awesome and greatly appreciated!

Cheers

True dat :p Played Horde since I started and probably responsible for a good majority of the dead gnomes discovered in alleyways now. The reason for playing Alliance is that we never got to experience the questing content so it would be more fun leveling up from that perspective

Oh another, completely unrelated question: I haven't bought the wotlk expansion but I have got the client. Do I just need to pay to upgrade my tbc account to wotlk on the wow-europe website?

Are you looking for a high pop realm with saffers on it, or just a high pop realm?

PVP: Twilights Hammer
Normal: Lightbringer

Alonsus has loads of alliance, but get the heck out Goldshire asap if yu start there. The chat is worse than Barrens horde chat, but thats probably the same on any realm.

There are South African's. Population is evenly spread with UK, Dutch, Greek etc. If you looking for a major South African presence, then its not here :D

EDIT: Its normal, not pvp. but battlegrounds and Arena are popular. Wintergrasp is hotly contested as well.

Kilrogg Alliance is also pretty active. Not a massive amount of SA people there, but I prefer it that way

Quel'thalas has a nice growing SA population. We have just started a lvl60+ guild. /w HustlerX or my brother Belron if you need help.

I think thats the realm i jam on 80 Mage Soldatay or 44 druid Amend
