So a few moths ago (just before WotLK) I made the same thread reading LF tanks.

I don't know how it is on other server, but Dentarg has a serious shortage of healers of late. It is so bad that those healers available can do as they please...they get groups with ease, so 1 wipe in an instance and they just leave to join another.

Its become a huge problem. I've even decided to roll a Priest and put my beloved Mage on hold :(

How are things on other servers?
 
Well I have made a little choice to maybe put my Shaman on Resto once he hits 80.

I have a Rogue for pure DPS (Melee), a Lock for pure DPS (Ranged).

I rolled my Shaman purely for DPS but with Hex at level 80 a cc healer could be the next best thing since sliced bread.

Then my arsenal would be DPS (Melle); DPS (Ranged); Healer.

Doesn't sound to bad :)
 
we are in the position where we have too many healers and tanks in our guild :P

imho it seems that priests have been radically changed, our one priest is battling to get her healing back on par with what it was at 70, i had to respec holy last night on my pally and in mostly kz gear was outperforming her in naxx.

not sure if her build is wrong, but am feeling strain on my holy priest (ex main) I am now bringing up, thinking of speccing deep discipline instead of holy at 80

shamans at 80 as resto are tits atm, <3 the yellow love banana and the uber stun
 
I see quite a bit of LF healer in gen chat. Our guild has a shortage of healers (even more so with me being away :D )

From a druids point of view, Boomkin has become viable as a DPS class again, coupled with the changes to +healing gear it is loads more fun to nuke rather than heal.

The other problem I had as a full resto druid was the dailys and farming. It just takes so much longer compared to feral or boomkin forms.
 
Last night doing naxx 25 we had 14 healers online, healers had to roll on who should respec cause we only had 10 dps on

Our trade channel is full of LF healer spam.

d3th_n1gG4, as far as I could gather Priests are the best healers at the moment for raids and heroics. Maybe it is her spec or something...I hope...just rolled Priest :p
 
I am running a Priest on TH.
Tried Holy , then went back to Disc. Seems to be a lot better build.

Never have a problem finding a group :D
 
I quit my healer.

It's a lousy job, it's unfun, solo play is like having your teeth pulled and you people with your incessant whining never make it any easier.

Need healers? Roll your own. See how it is.

Me? Nevar again.
 
Well, good luck. Personally, I think it's what burnt me out in the end. Fkng whackamole was not how i envisioned spending my funtiemz.

Thats what i thought too, think it may be her spec, or she is stacking the wrong stat, as far as I can tell, priests need to rely more on int than spirit, gone of the days of priests not worrying about crits
 
It is expected that there will be fewer healers for some time to come, the changes in WoTLK have opened the doors for hybrids that often went holy or restoration simply because they had no other option. (Guilds did not exactly accept ele shaman, ret paladins or oomkin druids with open arms).

Dual specs will increase the number of "healers" once it is in game
 
I decided to get my druid up to 80 as well now since we're short healers and tanks at the moment.
 
I leveled as resto from 70-76 till i ran all dungeons and got sick of it now back to feral for last few lvls maybe ill go back resto at 80 will see.

But yeah lvling as resto not that bad if runing dungeons all the time is your thing i was in lfg for 2 sec then i get wispers to come heal once people see you do good job no need for lfg anymore.

Yeah, just spam Circle of Healing on yer priest.

We have enough healers and dps. Finding a tank is a pain in the ass.

Have kids, pref. boys, get them into gaming at a relatively early age and presto, you got a tank whenever you need one :D

No it's not! I do feed him and send him to school .... some days at least. Anyways, he now is taller than me, is a teen and wants payment for his tanking! :o

I've started interviewing a few nephews and a niece to see if they will be suited to a tanking role ... :D
