I'm selling this for R5,500.00 - which I thought was a decent price - but seems the queries on it are slow. Am I charging too much? Or am I just impatient and should wait longer? ;)

It's got HDMI and 720 resolution and pretty much been used for only 300 hrs.

Also got a 42". You might struggle to find a buyer - new prices keep on dropping and specs improving. Paid R14 000 for mine 2 years ago. New price: R8000.

Why do you want to sell anyway?

I paid under that ... about R12,000.00 But I they're similar specs to the new units and that extra R3,000.00 may be outta reach for someone to get a brand new set. Oh well ...

I'm upgrading to a larger screen with 1080.

What sort of life expectancy are plasma TV's expected to have? I see you mention hours...

It seems the price is ok then, so just being impatient ;)

I don't have a link to the specs - couldn't find much online. That's why I put the model so maybe one of you guys can search :p Based in Randpark Ridge, btw.

A plasma is about 60,000hrs life. The reason I mention the hours is because it shows the actual usuage is very low compared to the age. I've read somewhere that you can't even run a plasma on high contrast & colour till about 150 hrs anyway, as the screen is still reasonably 'new'.

I might take it from you if you don't have much interest, need it for my bar. Is it an urgent sale? (still renovating the bar)

Urgh not really urgent ... but how far along is your bar? ;)

Though, the sooner I get rid of this, the quicker I buy a shiny new one ... hehe

I'm maybe two or three weeks away from being done. Can I connect a Playstation 3 to that TV and watch blu-ray,etc? I need to get this thing out of my lounge, it's driving me nuts.

Yea ... it's got 2 x HDMI, component, VGA in, composite in etc

Just keep in mind that static images (Xbox, PS3, PC's, media player etc) are better with LCD - especially with the risk of image retention and possible burn in (depending how long the static image is displayed and whether you have a screensaver).
