LG dead/doesn't fire pixel policy

Hi peeps.

Does anyone know what supplier policies are towards dead pixels.

I've obtained a 19" LG lcd...worked fine for 6 weeks..and now i have a green pixel in the center of my screen!!!.

its not dead - but when the screen is black its only green - so it doesn't "fire" then...

LGe.co.uk recons as from 2003 - zero-dead-pixel return policy...but some local retailers say 3-5!

Aren't there ways of awakening dead pixels? Something about showing a plain black screen.

@[OUPA]MrNutz: Each monitor is usually classed differently. Post exactly which monitor you have and I'll have a look at this monitor's return policy for you.

try massage the pixel with your thumb!

and u can also run a colour program to try "wake" the pixel, its not dead, its stuck
