I normally don't support Hi-Fi Corporation but I popped in the other day (test disc in hand http://www.divxtest.com/sommaire.php3?lang=en ) and checked out a couple of players. I tried the Warfdale (and was not happy, as no Mediatek chipset) and then saw a pile of the LG's that had just been deliverd. At R579 this unit supports almost all video formats you can throw at it no need for converting clips to VOB and burning to DVD anymore, I just use a re-writable DVD and throw 6 x XVID movies on it at a time.

So if you in the market for a new DVD player than take a look at the LG DK172

and the save you the searching, here is the procedure to mae then multi-zone.

1. Press the "Stop" button.
2. Press the "Pause" button.
3. Key in "314159"
4. Press "0" when you see "Region code" on the display.
5. Press the "Pause" button.
6. Switch off the player.
7. Switch on again. It's now multi-region!
