Do anyone own a G-Flex 2 ? What's the experience like good or bad. It really is a flagship device but it seems like it's got no following.

I think it was a mistake to make it Vodacom exclusive, because of that they inflate the price.(just my opinion)

I'm interested in the device and would love to hear some feedback from someone who owned/using one.

I think the main reason why there is such little uptake of the G-Flex 2 is the Snapdragon 810 SOC - Everybody fear the overheating issue and if you want to upgrade your 1 - 2 year old flagship phone you basically have these options:
Opt for a Samsung running their efficient Exynos SOC (without much reported overheating)
"Settle" for a Snapdragon 808 powered handset
Wait for the next gen Snapdragon 820 handsets (and pray that they've sorted out the overheating)
Bite the bullet and trust that your Snapdragon 810 device won't be affected by overheating (much)

A lot of people are in limbo regarding their next upgrade (myself included) - With today's high prices for flagship phones, many people are waiting for a device that is "worth their money" and will last until the next upgrade of their contracts.

It was the first phone out with the Snapdragon 810 chipset that made the overheating and throttling problems abundantly clear. Apparently the overheating issues are less severe with recent revisions of that chip, but YMMV on whether you'll get one of those.

That's sort of what I want to know, is the overheating and throttling problems even a problem for us normal users ?

Is that not just reviewers being skeptics and saying that it overheats, but it's 1 degree hotter than other phones.

How does one manage with that curved device in your pants pocket.
Can't imagine it would feel comfortable
