Hi guys and dolls.

Firstly, thanx for having me here. My name is Cedric, from the mother city. Now, I'm hoping someone will be able to help me here. I'm a spanner man, so not very clued up with all the tech available now. I was recently blessed (by my son) with a LG G2 cell phone, which has a mod instead of the original software. Which mod, I wont be able to say. Some Cryo thingy me bob. Now I would like to get this back to the original software, but after trawling the internet and doing a bit of reading, I only seem to see firmware for other countries. I would hate for this phone to end up in Chinese etc. I have a general idea of how to go about it.

Could one of you guys please point me in the right direction so I can get the original firmware for the "South African firmware" pls. All I can say its the 16 gigabyte version.

Thank guys

Hi Johnathan. It is the Cyogenmod yes, it says nightly-D802, Android version 6.0.1.

Honestly, I prefer the standard software. I cant change the app layout, apps stay in the in the ABC listing, I either wanna scroll down or swipe left or right to find things. The camera also fires away without even focusing properly. And besides that, the camera makes the most awful sound ever. Its like a boing sound. What camera makes a boing sound when it takes a picture LOL.

I seriously would love if you could point me in the right direction so I can get the original software back on the phone. Previous link has ads and things I need to go through.

This is for OnePlusOne:
Change the new app drawer back to the old horizontal paged one on Cyanogen OS/CyanogenMod 12.1 (COS 12.1/CM 12.1) on Oneplus One. All you have to do is long press on an empty space on any of your home screens and drag up from the bottom. Then under 'Drawer Settings' click 'Layout' to change it.
Also try hitting the menu button/long click on it.

Click on the spot where you want to take the photo to focus (at least that's how my G3S is). I usually disable the shutter sound.
In file manager go to (and I don't have it in front of me so these could be off but you'll get the idea) /system/media/audio/ui and find "camera_click.ogg." Open its permissions, and uncheck them all. Reboot and your camera should be quiet. You'll need to give file manager root access first by going into the settings for file manager. And this works for the low battery sound, the video record sound, and all the other .ogg's in that folder that are annoying.
Use something like ES File Explorer.

It's what I love about android, customization.

For the original software I need you to go to settings > about phone > Hardware info and give me the model number.
EDIT: I'm blind, you gave it, looking for it.

Thanx Johnathan. Maybe I should have said its a 16 gigabyte. Or will the above link work for that as well?

Also, I would like to keep the sound of the camera, but just a normal, bare with me pls, "Ka klik" sound and not a boing sound.

Hi.

Apologies for not replying sooner, was quite busy. I am using a desktop browser called firefox yes. The links you posted also take me to a add blocking app that they want me to add to my browser.

Yes, they block adds, should make downloading off the sites easier as you won't be redirected.

omw, this is one of the most difficult things to do. Its easier building a 300wrms amplifier from scratch! May I just ask, why on a particular web page, do they have listings for 16gig as well as 32gig? Will loading a 32gig firmware not let apps know that it has 32gig instead of the 16gig?

Edit: downloading the file now. Thanx Johnathan

Edit: whats the difference between the D80220A_00 and the D80230C_00?

Good luck, only worry I have is that it's in German, but it should be fine as it's a system setting to change it.
