Good Day,
I have a relatively new LG G5 which I purchased two months ago from Orange. Unfortunately my wife dropped the phone and cracked the screen after which she just gave it in at the corner shop to get the LCD replaced.
Now post LCD replacement, I am getting intermittent signals...the phone registers on MTN, I get one bar signal for a little while and then it goes back to no signal. The guy who fixed the LCD says he has checked everything and cannot find anything wrong with the hardware.
The cell phone shop guy has said that the phone has been blocked/blacklisted on the network (similar to how a stolen phone would be blocked). Now I know this phone is not stolen and I bought it brand new from Orange 2 months ago and have the requisite receipts etc. Consequently, his explanation about the phone being blacklisted does not make any sense to me.
Would appreciate input if anyone else has had similar problems.
