LG G5 might be unveiled at the Mobile World Congress

So far, these are the information we've gathered about the LG G5: it will have a 5.6-inch display with 2k resolution, Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 SoC, 21MP rear camera, 8MP selfie shooter, a 3000 to 3500mAh battery, fast charging technology, a fingerprint Scanner or an iris scanner. We're still a few months away from the MWC 2016 so let's wait for more rumors, leaks, and early sightings.

Another rumored 820 device...let's hope the chip is actually ready this time around.

so lets say its revieled at MWC.
that means in SA we should have it around April in the Us and mid May here.
my other contract is due for upgrade on July 1st....

My upgrade date was 01/08/2015 already and I was hoping for the V10 to come to SA - Now I'll stick it out a couple of months more, hopefully the G5 knocks it out of the park. My dad's got the G4 and it is quite impressive, but I think it will struggle to compete with 2016's flagship phones running Snapdragon 820 and 4gb ram. Not even looking at Samsung's phones anymore.

I would be able to live with this design - would have preferred the volume buttons on the back. If they are able to do the expandable storage and even the removable battery as shown on other leaks, Samsung is going to have a hard time getting my vote.

Yep, agree. Very much looking forward to this device.

No more curve from top to bottom?
No more volume slider on the back?

Urghhh. The volume slider and middle button on the back of my G4 is one of the design elements I love most about the phone.
Yip those back buttons are great once you get used to them, ergonomically correct in terms of how a phone is held.

I read a rumor that it will be released 2 months earlier to compete with other newly released phone, LG has learned there lesson as they say.
I'm still rolling with my G2, contract expired December. I will wait for this...:D:o

Will be announced on the same day as the Samsung S7... 21 Feb

It will have always on display. Now just hoping it will have a big ass battery like the S7 Edge's 3600mAh battery.
