LG G6 not reconnecting to data network

So as of late, my phone sometimes does not automatically reconnect to the mobile data network when moving out of a wifi zone.

I am able to make calls, it's just the data that's not reconnecting.

It doesn't happen often, but enough to annoy me. Usually, toggling airplane mode resolves this, but I don't want to.

I'm on Vodacom, for what it's worth. Anyone have the same experience, perhaps with a different model phone?

android updates done?

always in specific areas? tried with a MTN sim?

Android 8.0, all apps updated.

Mostly in Durbanville, where I work and live, but experienced it in Tableview as well.

Did not try with another SIM, I don't have one, and won't have one for long enough to test. It's intermittent

Had the same issue on an LG G5, it just went away after some time. Vodacom.
