Hi Guys,

I need some help in deciding what TV to buy as my girlfriend moved out with my old one...

I saw Game and Dion wired currently have these two LG models for what seams to be a decent price.

LG 55UF770T roughly about 15k
LG 49UF770T roughly about 10k

The question I have is, are these two LG's the way to go for good display quality measured against the samsung's in the same price range?
I don't care to much for the apps and extras offered by LG (which in any case don't seem to work in SA). I have Dstv and a media player to source my content.

For some reason I can't find a lot of reviews on these two products, so if anyone can and share some links that would be great otherwise just some of your own experiences would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

IMHO the LGs kick Samsung's butt. The IPS screens are amazing and WebOS 2.0 (which both models you listed will have as they are 2015 models, denoted by the F) is truly the best TV interface I have seen. I went through the same exercise as you 3 weeks ago, I did my research and ended up with an LG.

Spot on. You can even play around with NetFlix now.

I was a die hard Samsung fan... until I compared a 47" LG to a 48" Samsung that cost a hell of a lot more and has a hell of a lot better looking spec sheet.

Played XBONE on both of them and then regretted buying a Samsung.
