Good day.

Could you please help me. I bought an brand new LG LED 21.5" screen. The E2341BN. I use it allot for work and im a student, so it is very important. A few days ago I turned it on and there was no image. The LG loge apeared, then a block that said D-sub power saving mode. As soon as that block apears the screen goes black and the power butten flashes blue. I used three other cables and still did not work. I used a loptop and still did the same. I used my xbox and still did the same.

I am going to take it in and they will probably fix it. But i know it will come back. So what can i do to prevent this. Please help. Thank you

How new is "brand new" Under warrant?
the consumer protection act allowes the customer to choose for the faulty good to be replaced, repaired or refunded.
If brand new, let them test it infont of you. Once they see its faulty you have the three options above. I would request a replacment unit.
Take a photo of the serial number so you can make sure they replace the unit and not repair.

Thanks. I will take that advice. Take a photo of the nr. I bought it at the store ne in box. As new as you can get. I should have 1 year warranty so they must do something with it.

Does anyone know what causes this? I have a old LG screen on one of my PCs and the exact same thing happens.

Not too sure why this happens. I too have had this happen to me before, I get them fixed if out of warrant or replaced if in warranty. I will ask my friend who fixes monitors if he knows why.

I've had this happen as well on a 17" LG LCD but managed to get it working again. Thing is it was so long ago I cannot remember how.

Normally this happens when the psu is faulty or component failure. This seems to be happening alot more often with the newer screens and TV's coming out of production.

Should I demand replacement or should I ask for repair? If repair, how long will it take more or less? I bought it at Computer Mania
