LG service surprise!

I purchased a 19" LG LCD about three years ago and it packed up a year ago. Since the 3 year warranty is about to expire I contacted them via the form on their website to enquire about repairs. To my utter surprise they offered to send a courier to come and fetch the screen, send it to the the repair center to be fixed and deliver it again. In case they can't fixed it they'll exchange it for a new one :D I fully expected to drive all the way to Germiston and then have to go and fetch it again. Wonder what will happen when my Sammy packs up :whistle:
 
I have a 20" LG I will see if I still have the warranty since it's giving problems now..
 
Very good to hear something positive about a LG Service Centre - maybe the service is good, as it's still within warranty... but I hope not.
Most experiences I've encountered are to the contrary, but glad they've come to the party on your product :)

You will call samsung at least 20 times, you will wait weeks for a reply, when you get a reply they will refer you to another department, you will be on hold forever until you decide to end the call, you will get fumes coming out of your ears, and that's about it
LG FTW!!!!
 
Don't muddle Samsung TV and Samsung PC service up.

Samsung PC LCD service is far superior to LG PC LCD service. I have good experience to back this up.

In fact these days I make a point of not selling LG LCD's. Oh and rate of return in my experience has been higher with LG than Samsung. ;)

I did not know there was a difference between the PC service and normal consumable service, but okay, thats good to know since im very eager to buy the Samsung 23”, it’s by far the cheapest one around, I was hesitant because you probably know why…... i have about six 17" CRT monitors at home, Samsung and LG was first to break, then my acer screen, then a Philips, I’m currently running a no name brand, so far its life span has outlasted all my other monitors :p
 
Excellent it's things like this that will sway me towards LG products. I have an old 52cm LG TV that I bought when Mr. Mandela came to power and it's still ticking along like clock work. I will make sure my next TV purchase will also be a LG. :D WELL DONE LG Life is really GOOD
 
Yeah I prefer samsung.. my LG was taken good care of and just decided to stop working, well gradually got worse right after my warranty expired.
