LG V10

I was wondering why everyone was so quiet about this awesome device. If we're getting it, I'll be interested in getting it. I spend some time with my dad's G4 over the weekend and I liked it a lot, but not enough to ditch my Note 3 yet, but this one. It's just got that little extra to sway me. The only thing that is a bit of a worry is that people are already speculating that LG might look at this as a bit of an experiment and future software updates might not be as quick (lack of long term support) as on the standard "G-Models".

Love the steel, like the back, the second screen seems cool and the second front camera might be a bit of a gimmick.

So... a G4 with some more RAM and less leather? Meh.

Phones really have reached a plateau.

That is true - I just like the fact that LG is willing to be a bit different than the rest. Samsung is basically cloning Apple and there was an article on GSMArena that the leaked images of the latest HTC looks exactly like the new I-phone.
LG is one of the few manufacturers who still offer a user replaceable battery and expandable storage. In some cases the even throw n a spare battery with charger and a micro SD card.
At least they are trying something innovative in stead of just pushing the screen rez, faster processor than the previous year and more RAM - Only time will tell if this is going to work for them or not.

I just might be a long term Samsung user who'll be swayed to LG, just to have something different.

I don't disagree, and I found the G4 a strong enough proposition to switch brands after 4 HTCs on the trot. All I'm saying is, if my wife's S3 wasn't starting to act up badly, I could see myself still using my old M7 for another two years. There's nothing the G4 can do that it can't and a split-second saved when opening an app, or some (or many) extra megapixels hardly make for earth shattering progress. 2 front-facing cams? Fingerprint scanner? I'm quite happy without them.

Not that I'm complaining. I suffered badly from mustupgradetitis from the days of the Moto Razr, and not feeling a burning need for every new flagship is a nice change of pace. :D

This is the first time EVER that I haven't upgraded on day one of my available upgrade date. I've been waiting since August for something that excites me and maybe you just diagnosed my symptoms. I'm so desperate for an upgrade phone that anything gets me excited by now.

I'm seriously considering getting this phone if it becomes available locally.

I see there has been some interest on the LG's SA Facebook on this device . Their admin though said that they are not sure whether this device is coming to SA . A pity , I would rather have seen this one here than the G4 stylus which has launched here in SA now .

Ja, there is just something about this phone that I really like. I just hope that LG will keep on supporting the V10 as they do with the G-series. It is awesome that according to GSMArena the Marshmallow update on the G4 will start rolling out next week already. I'm still waiting for Lollipop (5.0.1) to officially reach my Samsung Note 3 (SM-N900).
