Licence renewal question

I have to renew my drivers licence so I did the online booking for Edenvale on the artoo site. The only mention of photos is if you are applying for a temp licence as well if your licence is expired. Should I take photos in case or do they take digital photos like they do with new ID card applications?

Yes they do take a digital photo but locally in the freestate they require a photo to attach to the space for a photo on the application form.
