When to the Post office this morning to renew the license under my wife's name. Was told she needs an affidavit from the police station to allow me to collect on her behalf... was implemented last week apparently.
This is a bit ridiculous, the reason I pick it up is that the post office is close to where I work.
Queueing at our police station for an affidavit is a frustrating experience.
Is there any recourse to this? Why would they implement such a silly rule, I even brought her original ID document and letter of consent, but this was not acceptable.
I also tried searching for the government gazette where this was discussed, but I couldn't find one - is it just this post office trying to make peoples lives difficult?
