License test booking - What's the data?

I have to go redo my motorcycle learners license.

Today I went to the Midrand Licensing Station to book, only to be told I can only book on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday - no Wednesday bookings.

Also, Bookings are from 6:00am - 7:30am only.

When enquiring as to why those absurd hours, I was informed, "That's protocol."

Surely, surely they must be mistaken? Those don't seem like government hours to me at all, sounds like someone wants an inflated booking fee before office hours.

Anyone booked a license test recently? Any useful information to add?

I did mine at randburg. None of that *** - bookings only OPENED at 7:30

Don't forget proof of residence.

Roodepoort still has paper tests, ransburg computer. Did my learners in oct at roodepoort and lic in nov in randburg.

Remember proof of residence, id, copies of both, money, your own pen, photos, patience And a cellphone to play games whilst sitting there for 2 hours.

Any difference between paper and computer tests? I assume computer tests are less prone to false fails etc? Also presumably quicker to get the results?

Good thinking on the pen. Have two phones and a tablet so hopefully that will be enough batter power.

My wife just took her learner's with a computer test: she says it's divided into four groups of questions, and after you complete each group it shows immediately with a green tick on the screen to show you that you've completed it, and once you submit the test you get an immediate score. Sounds way better to me than the rubbish paper system, which was very prone to slow marking and bribery.
