Lies from Afrihost

I phoned Afrihost to double check and make very sure that they can do a static IP for my account

A person at the technical dep. assured me that they do static ip's for an additional R50. It will work on my Netgear router.
I asked him are you sure? He replied: "Yes"

Went through all the effort of cancelling and moving my data & line over to Afrihost.

After they billed me I asked them to activate the static IP, just to hear that they cannot do a static IP for me unless I pay almost double the price for a business account and the R50 additional.

He also stated that its on the website. I did a search for static IP and found nothing. It is on the site but only under business pricing. Nowhere else. Of course that is why I phoned to make sure.

I also asked for a manager to phone me ASAP, because I only have 1 day left with my current ISP.

Nobody bothered to get back to me in the same day. They will have to reverse everything again and its back to Axxess & their unstable service. Axxess has static IP's for R29.

Just can't get any joy with South Africa's bad service.

Though for R50 it's a bargain - i'd also say yes.
