Life is cheap in SA

I am really fortunate. I can read these articles and then totally erase them from memory almost instantly. South Africa is the best place on earth! They should send foreigners here to teach them desensitisation. I can honestly say I have reached the point at which I'm almost entirely desensitised.

Johannesburg - Five teenagers were arrested on Wednesday in connection with the murder of a Catholic priest in Diepsloot, north of Johannesburg, police said.

"The five boys, between the ages of 14 and 18, were arrested following information from the community," said Director Govindsamy Mariemuthoo.

They were arrested in the early hours of Wednesday morning.

Father Louis Blondel, 70, was shot dead on Monday morning during a robbery.

It was alleged that five people broke into the Presbytery.

Another priest, Father Guido Bourgeois who lived in the house with Blondel, was the first to wake up and was robbed of R50 and his cellphone.

The intruders then shot Blondel when he opened his bedroom door.

Bourgeois was able to run to the kitchen where he blocked the door with the fridge and screamed to wake the neighbours.

Some neighbours came out but were forced back inside as there was more shooting.

A woman in the area was also arrested for allegedly buying Bourgeois' stolen cellphone.

Blondel is the fourth Catholic priest to be murdered in South Africa this year.

Interesting - the comments people made regarding my last post :D You SA folk are very interesting indeed. And don't worry, I won't publish anything which goes against the views of your government. The findings are just for 'personal use'. Actually they are ment to show whites murder blacks all over SA yet ONLY the other way around seem to hit the news. Judging by your comments (which I find somewhat disturbing), you people have a long and steep road ahead. Wish you luck and lets leave it there.

yes makes perfect sense the government will go out of it's way to hide whites murdering blacks by the dozens, since to keep it a secret will improve the chances of getting more votes.

Make the general anc voters to be murdering scum, while making sure that opposing whitey looks like angels?

It generated a hulabaloo when it occurred at a local university some years ago. The years that were responsible should have graduated by now. In the hulabaloo it was made clear that this exact same thing had occurred at other tertiary institutions. No link although google may have something.

fusked up, everybody worries and fights over the "NOW" with anc vs da , white vs black but nobody seems to think of a few years down the line when the current youth are leaders etc. and we are older reliant on their judgments and rule.

I tried having a conversation with some teenagers the other day and they are messed up ( hopefully they are not the norm), they are jaded and have no beliefs, thoughts on anything around them except for instant gratification in the now.

Yeah, I have done similar things (I fear they are the norm). My reaction was “was I this ignorant as a teenager?” Giving benefit of the doubt, the forgettory of years and so on, I don’t think I was. What worries me is what happens when the ‘baby boomer’ expertise is gone and they are thrown on their own resources? Be scared for future generations.

that is my biggest worry, since for the now I can look after myself ... but would hate to be old and ruled by future generations.
