Have a look at the last video I sent about clouds affecting voltage and tricking float too early. When battery hasn't absorbed enough then voltage drops quick when it stops charging. If inverter can't set absorption etc then its better to use higher 56+V voltage. 58V is overkill though and is only needed when doing initial top balancing imho.I don't know.
I just saw it there.
btw I agree with you but most inverters including the one @denmendez65 uses probably does not have absorption times like the Victron and so it drops to float quicker than it should causing the battery to not be fully charged.
I saw that on my inverter. That and the slight voltage difference is why I mainly set my bulk to minimum 56v and now someone suggested a cool trick with solar assistant. Use the automation to configure an absorption time. So, when battery reached 55.4v set float voltage to 55.4v for 2 hours and after that drop the voltage again. Still need to play around with it.
It says BMS is dictating it.Where does the charge voltage of 56.8V come from?
We know that already. Anyway, at least its not 58V.It says BMS is dictating it.

I was thinking of you when I saw that video, maybe you need the usb to rs232 cable?I'm struggling to get access to my new ecco battery battery 2 which is also a pacebms but a pacebms smart bms 2.5 with no dip switches.
So far, I could not get connected to it so I can change the balancing parameters. Google AI hasn't been helpful. I tried what it said and that but not getting it to connect.

Do you know if your cable is straight through or cross over?I have that. That is what I'm using on solar assistant.
How can you tell, rip open the usb connector? This is a pace bms cable with built in serial controller chip. Where do you get a rj11 connector from to recrimp wires? Might be easier to make a new cable with 9pin serial to rj11 with usb to 9 pin converter.Do you know if your cable is straight through or cross over?
If you have a straight through then just make or get a crossover.
I’ve had to interface to RS232 and that typically is the main reason I can’t make comms.
I was hoping the cable would say. He would need to check both ends. The USB side and the RJ11 side. No need to rip out the cable, just the covers. How can you tell, rip open the usb connector? The propriatory cable costs R200, so I would leave it alone and just buy:I was hoping the cable would say. He would need to check both ends. The USB side and the RJ11 side. No need to rip out the cable, just the covers.
If he knows what type it is then he can make the opposite of what he has. The stuff is relatively cheap from hobby robotic stores.
If he doesn’t want to open the covers then he would need to make 2 cables. More work and more cost unfortunately.

packovervoltage alarm is the charge voltage on pacebms via pylcon protocolOld snap. I changed it to 55.2 after DTBA said so
but it isnt set to 56.8V though.packovervoltage alarm is the charge voltage on pacebms via pylcon protocol
@denmendez65 what is your pack over voltage set to?but it isnt set to 56.8V though.
The alarm? 56V@denmendez65 what is your pack over voltage set to?
