*grumble grumble*
I got hit yesterday and upon checking everything last night it appeared that only my phone line and fax machine was dead (no dial tone) but the internet was still working (hooray I thought).
Upon doing some tests tonight it looks like there's something up with my 384k ADSL as everything is alot slower. I use a Mega 100WR router and this is what it tells me.
Modem Status
Connection Status Connected
Us Rate (Kbps) 128
Ds Rate (Kbps) 384
US Margin 13
DS Margin 10
Trained Modulation ADSL_G.dmt
LOS Errors 16
DS Line Attenuation 39
US Line Attenuation 31
Peak Cell Rate 301 cells per sec
CRC Rx Fast 4092
CRC Tx Fast 1689
CRC Rx Interleaved 0
CRC Tx Interleaved 0
Path Mode Fast Path
&
ADSL Statistics
Transmit
Tx PDUs 12241
Tx Total Bytes 3689720
Tx Total Error Counts 0
Receive
Rx PDUs 15237
Rx Total Bytes 16483751
Rx Total Error Counts 852
These stats are after running the router for about 15 mins after a reset. I have removed all extra things on the line (Phone, POTS filter and surgeprotector just incase). I'm worried about the LOS errors. I cant remember ever getting those before and the receive errors also seems high??
Can anyone comment?
Thanks
