I have seen on the lightspeed.co.za website that large areas of Pretoria are in their coverage area. I'm wondering of you can simply order Fibre for your home in this area or if there are more stings attached? Have anyone tried ordering based on that map? Any luck?

Question is do they use their own fibre network or Telkom's?
Our area is in Lightspeed's coverage map, but only Telkom fibre has been put in here recently (as in last week), and it is not live yet.

Wel I'm not sure for all cases, but they show coverage for a very large area, and telkom definitely does not have Fibre in all of that area. For example they show coverage in Lynnwood and there is no telkom fibre there.

Cybersmart uses DFA.
They "cover" your area, but need a certain amount of guaranteed signups in order for them to roll it out to your house.

DFA fibre in our area is very far away from our place. Closest point is around 800m away.
And there is a Telkom FTTH connection box in the corner of our yard 40m from the house.
Just waiting for the fibre to go live here.

I'll let any fibre company place their equipment on my property ☺
