Hi

How can i limit wifi speed please? have a HUAWEI HG532f Router ...and a D-Link 2750U ....


Using the HUAWEI HG532f now... seems d-link cant do it.

Any help please?

Why would you want to limit wifi speed?

Yeah, because since he doesn't understand the difference between LAN and WAN he is going to be awesome at RouterOS...
 
both have...but how to set them i dont know.... d-link says their qos dont have success....so if someone can tel me how to set the HUAWEI ill be glad.
 
You not going to have much joy with the current hardware you have I am afraid. From what I recall, that D-link has basic QoS, but it's pretty useless.
 
what router do u suggest i get..but not to expensive?

Look at getting a Mikrotik, with router os you can do pretty much anything from limiting interfaces, to creating hotspots, pppoe servers....or well anything you can think of. btw, they are pretty much under 1k :) look at scoops offerings
 
TPLink does have the function of limiting badwidth. I think that might be your cheapest solution. I used it when I was still on a 4mbps line. Throttled my daughter to death so we could watch streaming TV.:twisted:
