Limpopo cop killed while chasing suspected robbers

Thohoyandou - A warrant officer was shot dead while chasing suspected armed robbers on the road between Siloam and Thohoyandou on Monday evening, Limpopo police said.

Colonel Ronel Otto said two officers were patrolling the road, where there was a recent increase in armed robberies of business owners after they had closed for the day, when they received information about a suspicious vehicle.

After spotting the vehicle, the officers pursued it. It then turned off onto a gravel road and the occupants opened fire on the police.

"The warrant officer was... shot and died on the scene. The suspected vehicle was later found abandoned," Otto said.

No arrests had yet been made.

Wow, so little information from the article. The injured cop had to drive a kilometer from the incident with his dead partner. He pulled into a brickyard (Briko) visibly traumatized gun in hand and confused, sjrens still on. The security guards there ran away at first, but eventually returned and called the police. Latest from the news is he hasn't been able to give any more info, still in trauma.

Three in dock after cop killing

Johannesburg - Three men accused of killing a Limpopo police officer appeared in the Vuwani Magistrate’s Court on Friday.

Police spokesman Superintendent Malesela Ledwaba said the case was postponed to 2016 for bail application.

They all faces charges of murder and armed robbery.

Yesterday, the 3 men found guilty beyond doubt of killing a Limpopo police officer were made to kneel down, and a bullet was put into the back of each one's heads. Their family will be receiving the bill for the ammunition (as per China)

Sadly, they will be out in a few years if they even bother to attend "jail" and will kill more people.
