I applied for a Web Africa Complete Package about 2 months ago. During this time Telkom lost the adsl line application twice already.
According to WA the line is in the "testing phase" or rather was a week ago.
According to the Telkom helpline the line should be capable of 4mbps and I know people in the vicinity already have adsl.
WA have helped where they can, but I'm not so sure that I'm getting any closer to adsl.
So:
1) What does "testing phase" mean?
2) What is the likelihood of the line getting installed? I have a feeling that lines applied for via an ISP are always at the bottom of the Telkom to-do list, and consequently might never happen.
3) Would it make sense to cancel the adsl line part of the complete package and get the line application done directly through Telkom, while getting the cap from WA? I would then need to buy a modem cash right?
Thanks
