This is a weird problem, i think; anyone out there know what's going on?
Two days ago, over a period of 12 hours, i was disconnected every 79 minutes to the second (this happened four times consecutively), and then every 60 minutes to the second (this happened six times consecutively). Yesterday it happened 2 or 3 times (after being unable to get connected for a few hours), and today it happened after exactly 12 hours (ie i connected at 10.58 and 20 seconds and it dropped at 23.58 and 20seconds).
I'm wondering if this has something to do with the crappy USB Pots modem from TK.

By the way, one recent Saturday evening around 7pm i was on hold on the 375 number for 1 hour 10 minutes - i kept hanging on just to see whether it would get answered; it wasn't. I tried again an hour later, held on for 45 minutes, and no answer. I feel like crying every time I need to dial that number.

Who is your ISP?

There is a standard procedure amongst some of the ADSL providers to shorten the 'daily reset' to other shorter arbitrary periods (as short as an hour) as you get closer to your cap. This means that it is easier for them to protect themselves from over cap usage - cause its quite easy to run up double your cap in 24 hours particularly with the 4Mbps lines.

There are ways for ISP's to track your ADSL usage in realtime without disconnecting you but they apparently don't work on Telskum's systems

MWeb is the ISP.
What you say is interesting, but it doesn't seem logical for the ISP to disconnect me every hour over a period of a few days, and then at longer intervals (including 24 hours) thereafter. Should be the opposite, no?
