Line not syncing after upgrade?

I'm on the Clareinch exchange (I think, 021 671 code). Was on the Axxess 4mb uncapped combo. Upgraded the combo to 20mb/s last night. This morning I wake up and the modem won't sync. I don't have a VDSL modem so am still using my ADSL modem but was under the impression that I should still get 20mb/s down on ADSL2+, or at least 10mb/s? Is there some sort of delay before my line becomes active? Thanks
 
Yea, Bad Idea going from 4 to 20mbps.

Should of upgraded to 10mbps, checked your sync stats and see how they have worsened then made the decision to go to 20 or not.

It's not syncing at all though? Surely something's gone wrong or it should still sync at a lower speed? It won't connect at all
 
Okay have bought a VDSL modem. Telkom techie was here today, he called someone who did something and all of a sudden my line is syncing at 17mbps on ADSL2+ (could only get g.DMT before). After the technician leaves he calls me and asks if my modem is syncing, I realise it isn't. He tells me he's going to go to the exchange tomorrow and see what's up. Holding thumbs.

When they do the VDSL switch. Check your Vlan settings on the profile.
Mine did the same until I changed the Vlan`s. All smooth sailing from there.
