Hey there, i requested line relocation about two weeks ago as i was in the process of moving. My line at new place was supposed to be active in the 1st and old place was supposed to be cancelled on the 31st. I am still waiting for the line to be activated. Afrihost support said the line at new address is still locked by another isp via frogfoot and said line will be active on the 7th. Now the lady that bought my apartment sayd she cant acrivate her line because afrihost says my line cancellation is only ffor the 22nd feb. It seems like noone actually know what is going on. The frogfoot reference number is FRG7195679-CPT-B1. Please assist?

Hi.
The cancellation effective date for the Vumatel line is the 22nd of Feb.. A 30-day calendar notice is required for cancellation.

Haha that's exactly the same thing that happened to me. Despite what the AfriGhost consultant tells you, it's not simple or seamless.

My disdain for them stems from this.

The consultant didn’t mention any of this. Quite disappointing after being a customer for over 10 years. Maybe its time to change ISPs. Seems afrihost are purposely vague to trick you into paying at both locations. So if the line is not csncelled at old address, if she plugs in a router she could use it to the 22nd?

Yes, she could use the service. Set the router to DHCP, and visit login.afrihost.com to activate (this will require your numbers and an OTP sent to you as the account holder).
