Hi I recently logged a fault on Telkom's 10210 service calling about bad ping (and this was really bad) I have lately been getting pings of over 500 throughout the day. First I thought it was my ISP MWEB CONNECT but I changed my ISP log in details to openserve's speed test account of
getting these results from openserve : Here
Telkom called me back the same day saying that the line is fine and up to spec but upon asking directly "Does 500 ping mean the line is up to spec?" the representative tried all means to dodge the question.
My "BS senses" were tingling when he said they do tests with 10 million rand equipment from an American Company with the CEO being "Doctor John Coffee" or "Coffey" because I called the representative out on it because it seemed he was trying to mislead me so I tried a Google search on which upon asking how to spell Coffee with a "e" or a "y" at the end of the name he prompted that he was going to hang up now because the fault had been resolved.
I may just be paranoid but my question is does 500 ping to openserve using the test server "Randburg" classify as a "Line meeting specifications"
