Line speed query

We recently had a isdn line installed with a isdn 2a modem. How can i check what our line speed is ? Or which number do i phone to find out ?

thanks

ISDN is always 64k

To get 128k, you have to "dial in" twice and then merge the connections. Which requires 2 modems normally.

If I may ask, why do you guys run ISDN?

ISDN is used as a backup solution to our diginet line.
thanks for the info.

No worries, was just wondering. You might want to consider ADSL as a backup to the diginet line instead. Then you're not plagued with the dialup costs involved.

Had a few issues with my client who also runs diginet, that their lines was off for longer than 60 hours at a time (eventually figured out the Telkom Techie took their points off and allocated to someone else "by mistake" about 6 times in 4 months)

So when the ADSL went in as a backup they were more than content when their diginet went offline (note I said when, not if. lol)

Their diginet went off more than their ADSL
