Hi MontyPython

I used Linecast (www.linecast.co.za) at my home and had many issues getting up and running, to the point that I had to get in touch with their supplier MyVoip (www.myvoipwireless.co.za). Against better judgement and advisement, I decided to support a new business and let them install internet at my office which was probably the biggest mistake i have made in 10 years of business. False promises and poor technical skills have cost me money every day for over a week now.

I WOULD NOT recommend these guys to anyone. They do a line of sight test, confirm that they can supply you then demand payment, as soon as they have your money they say that you either need to upgrade or pay for tower rental in order for your line to work. Seems like extortion to me...

I have no no internet and no refund, my suggestion is let them show you the speed and connectivity BEFORE you pay. Im sad that i recommended these guys to my personal network.

Hi guys
I don't believe that the above is actually true. I have been with Linecast for a while now, and I have always received above average support from Schalk who is the owner of the company. He is always willing to help and will go the distance to assist wherever possible. Other service providers wont go the distance as to where this guy will go. I believe that a story has 2 ends to it. Schalk is an honest and hard working guy and I believe that he will give you the refund in due time. Maybe you should just speak to Schalk and get the air cleared between you guys.

Regards
Victor

Hi form members
I am also a member of Linecast Wireless internet (www.linecast.co.za), and I am satisfied with the service.
I have a space on the tower which I am paying for and its not extortion as above mentioned.
How it works is that the WISP has to rent their tower space for every link they put up.
They usually will add 120 degree sectors so that they can help multiple clients.
In my case, I needed a stronger signal and a Point to Point link which is for my use only.
No other WISP had clear coverage to my destination and Schalk suggested a PtP link.
It's due to this, that the WISP would request you to pay the tower rental.
I am happy with the service and speed I receive and that's why I was not worried to pay a bit extra to have a point to point link.

They didn't even bother to change the post format or make it sound even a little believable. Just wow.
