I am using a Tenda W548D ADSL modem/router/wifi AP

If I connect one laptop via wifi and another via ethernet they cannot see each other. They both have to be on either ethernet or wifi.

Another example: I have a printer set up on wifi. If my laptop is connected via ethernet, prints do not go through to the printer. The moment I connect the laptop via wifi as well, all the prints that have already been sent go through.

How do I configure the Tenda such that the LAN and WLAN behave like a single network, such that it does not matter whether devices are connected via ethernet or wifi and can still communicate?

Just this weekend i found this awesome app (probably mentioned before) but anyway , go and download Connectify

I used it for turning our laptop into a wireless hotspot and it works beautifully and was very easy to setup and best of all FREE.

Good luck

The router is supposed to bridge the connections automatically, that's one of the reasons they're so useful. There must be a setting somewhere to turn it on or off, something like LAN/WLAN bridging, check the manual.

I have a similar issue at the moment. Not sure how to bridge it on the W548D, any tips?

Check if you have created a vlan by mistake or that you haven't setup any acl rules or routing. If the device is a all in one, the wifi and the ethernet should be done and connected automagically if left as default settings.

I've got a similar problem; I think.
I've got a wifi router (TP Link TL- MR3420 ) which we use to connect to the main PC (Windows 7), with our media. My mom connects to the internet via a usb modem (Huawei E173). When she is connected the wifi network, she is unable to connect to the internet. So, she cannot connect to both networks simultaneously.
I know, that the modem can be used via my wifi router, but my mom runs her business from home and I want to keep my internet usage from crippling her business :D.
So, what I'm asking is, Is it possible to be connected t 2 networks simultaneously.
