I just came from the bank now, collected my card and now tried linking it to the standard bank app but i get this error

"This card is already linked to a banking profile. (Code: 1001)"

This isn't possible considering i just got the card.

Anyone else experienced this? I really don't want to head back to the bank next week.

The account works fine because a family member transfered me money so the account is active but i can't add the card...

Link on online banking first. A call to the card division should sort you out.

Is it a new card for a new account or just a new card for the same account you already had a banking profile for? I've had cards expire before and I honestly don't recall having to the linking every time I got a new card.

It may be that your card is link to a different dashboard on your Standard banking app. On the app, go to "More" then "dashboards". If there are multiple dashboard options, it may be that your card is already linked to one of these dashboards. Try clicking on the other dashboards to see if your card has been linked there. If it is, I would recommend deleting the blank dashboards by clicking the edit button (a small pencil) next to the dashboard's name.

Don't expect too much... The Standard Bank app dies a complete death if you happen to be a signatory on 2 different accounts that are primary banking accounts...

I literally have to have 2 phones with different numbers to allow me to log into 2 standard bank app profiles. Its like its 2005....
