Linksys WAG354G Router

Hi,

First time I post here, new to ADSL, so please be gentle...

I'm waiting for my DSL installation and really fancy the Linksys WAG354G. Can't seem to find it at Digital Planet or Jump.co.za only at PCMall. Looking around on the Linksys website I also could not find the router in there product line-up.

Has this unit been discontinued? If that is the case which unit will replace it?

Scanning the threads the general feeling is good towrds the router?

Any comments welcome!

The router is listed on the Linksys UK site as it is for international distribution and not for use in the US.

The router as pictured in the PCMall link is not the same as the picture of the WAG354G unit on Linksys UK website! So what does it look like?

Linksys recently changed the packaging of some of their "premuim" range of routers from the plain black and blue look of the WRT54G to this new silver and blue type of casing.

It certainly looks much nicer and not as cheap before.

Just confirm with PCMALL that this is indeed the product that you want ... that might be old or wrong photo they are using on the website.

My WAG354G that I bought recently did not come with an antenna, just the connection point for the antenna. Although in my case it did not matter (not a large area to cover), you might want to take this into account.

One last question which I can't seem to find a definitive answer on: Does the Billion 7202G support external antenna connections?

Yes. Its got a standard SMA connector.
