Hello,

Im looking for a LINKSYS WRT54GL, or well any cheap-ish router that can run dd-wrt. I've been struggling to find the LINKSYS WRT54GL in shops :( Any suggestions? Oh I want to use the router as a bridge in a WDS setup and my d-link 2640u supports it but doesnt want to work with my TP-Link WR1043ND

I purchased one for a client this morning, but that was from the distributors. Incredible connection normally has them in stock.
Where are you based?

bought mine from a guy in Cape Town who might still have a few left.

I have had problems using DD-WRT firmware on the Linksys WRT's and D-links in WDS mode. I dont think it would work.... If i remember correctly it only worked when no Security was applied. So good luck. I would rather look for a D-link solution. Stay with a single vendor when you want to Run WDS wireless setups.

***edit im not saying Linksys is bad im just saying that you need to use the same make wireless to be sure that it would work as i have found in home wifi devices communicates best with same vendor devices****
