Are there any wireless cards sold in South-Africa, which are readily available and which works perfectly in Linux, supporting encryption and all the possible features the windows drivers support? I run Ubuntu Linux AMD 64bit.
I want the ability to capture raw packets and the whole war driving thing. Not because I want to do war driving, but because I like using hardware I have purchased to its full capabilities and more. War driving abilities will help to debug problems on the WAN also.
Please rate the cards based on merits, like a detachable antenna, wireless standards supported, MIMO and such. I want to join a wireless network but I might be local away too far physically. So distance covered is also important.
