Hi guys

I'm looking for a file transfer program for linux ubuntu.

I use Teracopy on Windows. Looking for something similar where I can pause, it can do copy checks and if possible gives error reports.

Do any of these have automatic shut down features? Can't really see on their websites.

One does not simply "shutdown" a Linux PC.

But, for file syncing, use rsync.

Why would you want to shutdown Linux?
I can see why. Or at least, suspend it. Every night I suspend my desktop pc at home. It is something people do with their desktop pcs, and people are used to it on windows, it is actually something they expect to be able to do on linux.

Should be easy to do on the command line at least. Something along the lines of: rsync source dest && shutdown -params

Can only speak for Gnome 3 where it's simple to set suspend on idle to whatever period of time is required from the power options menu. Pretty sure KDE, Unity etc must be as easy.

Easiest technique assuming the same folders/files are being copied would be a cron job. Gnome has a scheduler GUI to simplify cron entries but I don't know about Unity.
