Linux issues with ADSL (Netgear modem as a router)

Is there anyone that is having similar problems regarding the Netgear modem and linux working together?

i dont know if anyone has a similar issue regarding telkom support but if you mention linux[:0] they treat you as if though you had just said a fowl word[]!!
if only they knew how many peeps actually use linux these days.....infact they almost diddn't give me an acount when i mentiond i will be using unix/linux[!]

I have a DG834 and on occasion I boot into Linux (Gentoo). Gentoo picks the thing up automatically, no configuring needed on my part, and sets everything up. I have no issues with it whatsoever.

um.......the linux aint the issue...im refering to the connection dropping due to the netgear modem/router over heating,
and in sum cases crashing due to processing to many requests[8)]

So then why start the topic regarding Netgear issues together with Linux?
