Linux Mint 19.3 Stable

Any reason linking to some anonymous 3rd party site rather than the official source?

It's not really anonymous as it's an official mirror but yes he could have just linked to the mint site.

Last I used Mint I was having issues with Cinnamon crashing.
I had issues with updates, errors while installing.

Few other things which I reported to them.

Cinnamon is a very demanding desktop that can bring down even high end systems.

Have you seen reviews on the latest version?
Straight after a fresh boot, RAM hovers around 380MB-450MB 400-and-something MB.
Unless I'm missing something, it doesn't sound too demanding to me...?

Sneak EDIT (just for RAM comparison):

No I haven't. Most of the complaints are from older versions with issues been fixed in the meantime. When I say demanding I'm not meaning RAM but rather processing power. Ideally you need an 8 core processor or more but this stems from second hand knowledge.

MATE would be more comparable to Windows as Cinnamon is much more advanced than Windows could ever be.

I am actually using MATE now instead of Gnome 3 on Ubuntu.
